Motors for hazardous areas - Standard Ex d motors

Explosion-protected electric motors are used in industrial plants with a potentiall explosive atmosphere containing inflamable fumes (i.e. chemical industry, oil refineries,...).

These are three-phase asynchronous electric motors with shot-circuit rotor, according to the CENELEC EN 50014, EN 50018, EN 50019 (IEC 79-0, IEC 79-1).
